For landlords with 2 to 20 units

Stop checking Zelle, Venmo and the bank to see who paid rent.

Forward the alerts you already get. PlainPost keeps the ledger for every unit and sends a polite reminder to anyone who hasn’t paid yet.

$1 holds your spot and comes off your first month ($15 per 5 units, per month). Starts by October 28, 2026. If we don’t launch, we refund the $1.

Why it’s different

  • Works with how tenants already pay

Zelle, Venmo and bank deposit alerts. Your tenants don’t install anything or open an account.

  • One page answers “who’s paid?”

Every unit, every month: paid, partial or not yet, with the alert that proves it one tap away.

  • Reminders you’d send yourself

Friendly, signed with your name, sent only on the days you pick. Never late fees, never legal notices.

“I don’t know of any programs that are integrated with Zelle.”

How it works

  1. Add your units2 minutes

Unit name, rent, due day and the tenant’s email. Paste from a spreadsheet if you have one.

  2. Set one forwarding rule2 minutes

Forward payment alerts from Zelle, Venmo or your bank to your private PlainPost address. We give you copy-paste steps for Gmail and Outlook.

  3. Open the ledgerThat’s it

Payments are matched to units as the alerts arrive. Anything we can’t match waits for one tap from you. Reminders go out on your schedule.

Setup takes under 5 minutes.

Questions, and honest limits

Do my tenants have to do anything?

No. They keep paying the way they pay now. The only thing a tenant ever sees is a reminder email, signed with your name, if you’ve switched reminders on.

Is a reminder a legal notice or a late fee?

No. PlainPost sends reminders only. It never sends legal notices, notices to pay or quit, late-fee demands or anything meant to count as formal notice. Those stay with you. PlainPost is not a debt collector.

What can you see?

Only the emails you forward to your PlainPost address. We can’t see your bank, Zelle or Venmo account and we will never ask for a login or password.

What if a payment doesn’t match a unit?

It goes in a “Needs a look” list and you assign it with one tap. A unit with an unmatched payment waiting is never sent a reminder.

Can I check reminders before they go out?

Yes. “Approve first” mode holds every reminder until you tap send. You can also turn reminders off entirely and just use the ledger.

What about cash, cheques or partial payments?

Mark cash and cheques paid by hand. Partial payments show as partial with the amount still due.

Can reminders go by text?

Email only at launch. Text messages need carrier registration first, and we’ll tell you before we add them.

What does the $1 reservation do?

It holds your spot and comes off your first month. PlainPost Rent Ledger starts for you by October 28, 2026. If we don’t launch by then, we refund the $1 without you having to ask. Want out before then? Reply to your receipt.

Privacy, in plain words

  • We keep: your unit list, tenant names and emails, and the payment alerts you forward.
  • We never ask for bank, Zelle or Venmo logins and never touch money.
  • Tenant emails are used only to send your reminders. Every reminder has a one-click opt-out, and we tell you if a tenant uses it.
  • We don’t sell or share your data, and there are no ad trackers on this page.
  • Delete your account and everything goes with it: ledger, forwarded emails, tenant details.
