Who we are
PlainPost is a small software project run by one person. These pages test whether people want a product before we build it. Questions or requests: [email protected].
Postal address: we’ll add our mailing address here once it’s active.
If you join a waitlist
We store: your email address, which product you signed up for, the time, the ad or link tags in the page address (for example utm_source=meta), the address of the page that sent you, and a scrambled one-way code made from your IP address. The code only limits spam sign-ups. We never store the IP address itself.
We use your email for exactly what the form says: one email when that product launches, and one more if we decide not to build it. Nothing else, no newsletter, and every email lets you unsubscribe.
If you reserve a spot for $1
Payment happens on Gumroad, which handles your card under its own privacy policy. We never see your card number. Gumroad tells us your email address and what you bought, so we can email you your start date or refund the $1.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell, rent or share your information. These pages set no cookies and load no ad trackers, pixels or analytics scripts.
If you came from one of our Facebook or Instagram ads, the only thing we learn is the tag in the link you clicked.
Who else handles data
Cloudflare delivers these pages and our email, and processes the technical data any website visit involves (such as your IP address) under its privacy policy. Gumroad handles reservations, as above. Our waitlist is stored on our own server in the United States.
Delete your information
Email [email protected] from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete it. We remove it from every waitlist and reply to confirm, usually within 7 days. You can also ask for a copy of what we hold. Reservations can be refunded the same way.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page.
